We generally welcome students 12 years and older, but we’re happy to consider 10–11‑year‑olds on application. If your child is keen, get in touch and we’ll chat through the options.

Why Choose the Junior Open Water Course?

Hey kids - ready for an adventure?

If you’ve always wanted to learn to scuba dive, explore the ocean, and discover a whole new world underwater, this is where it all begins.

The PADI® Junior Open Water Diver Course is the world’s most recognised youth scuba certification. It includes all the same training as the adult version, with a few age‑appropriate diving limits until you turn 15.

To enrol, you must be 10–15 years old, able to swim comfortably, and in good physical health. No previous scuba experience is needed.

What the Course Includes

A fun and supportive 4‑day training experience

1. Online Knowledge Development

Complete your theory at home, in your own time, through PADI eLearning.

This must be completed before practical training begins.

2. Confined Water Training

Learn essential scuba skills in our custom‑built training pool.

3. Open Water Dives

Put your new skills into action:

• Two shore dives to start
• Two boat dives the following day on our dive vessel

By the end of the course, you’ll be a certified Junior Open Water Diver - ready for new adventures and future training.
