A Course Designed for Adventure

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is your next step after Open Water, and it’s built around real exploration. Every dive introduces a new environment, a new skill, and a new way to experience the ocean. You don’t need to be “advanced” to begin - this course makes you advanced.

Across your training you’ll:

How Your Training Unfolds

Your course includes five Adventure Dives, each focused on a different specialty area. Two are required, and the remaining three are your choice.

• Underwater Navigation - Master compass work, natural navigation, and timing techniques.

• Deep Dive (18–30m) - Learn how to plan and execute deeper dives while managing the unique challenges of depth.

• Three Additional Adventure Dives - Choose from options like Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night Diving, Wreck Diving, Drift Diving, Digital Imaging, and more.

Each Adventure Dive also counts as credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty course.

Who Can Join

To enroll, you’ll need:

• A PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)

• To be 15 years old (or 12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)

• To be medically fit to dive and complete the RSTC Medical Statement

Your adventure begins with PADI eLearning, where you’ll cover the background knowledge for seven of the most popular Adventure Dives. You can start immediately, study at your own pace, and then join us for the practical sessions you choose with your instructor.
