Cancelled Due to Covid 19
It is with great regret that we advise due to the Covid 19 situation we have made the call to cancel Dive Festival 2020. This decision had to be made to ensure the health and well being of our customers and staff. However, if you want to get wet and enjoy your favourite pastime, we are still open for business and running our fab dive trips. We have increased our sanitation measures in our boat and business and hire equipment so if you want to come and join us in getting away from the madness of the world and hang out with the virus free fish then call us and book your spot. Stay safe and healthy out there!
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Dive Festival will be back 17 – 19 April 2020. Book this must-do Dive event into your calendar!
It’s a great weekend of gathering divers together from far and wide, entering into fun competitions with a huge pool of awesome prizes and a bit of social fun as well.
To enter is simple – fill out our enquiry form and Linda will send you the programme and entry form.
You can choose to just enter one event or multiple events. If you enter all required events you will go into the draw to join the crew on a fantastic dive trip for two staying at Beqa Lagoon Resort and diving Beqa Lagoon, Fiji - home of the famous shark dives.
Huge Prize Pool!
In conjunction with Dive Zone Whitianga - a huge thanks to our sponsors for their contributions to the prize pool. We will have a prize pool loaded with goodies from Mares mask and snorkel sets, dive computers, regs, BCD's, Mission Kayak, Beuchat Freediving gear all the way through to our grand prize draw of a dive trip for 2 to join us diving the famous shark dives of Beqa Lagoon and staying at Bega Lagoon Resort, flying Fiji Airways.

Prizes for closest to the “mystery” weight for male and female cray $30.00 (this is not a hunt for the biggest cray. Only one cray to be submitted per entrant)
Spearfishing Comp
An opportunity for the keen spearos out there to win some awesome Beuchat prizes. $30.00

Saturday, April 18th - Daytime
8.00AM Coastal Dive
For the keen divers who just want to squeeze in as much diving as they can. Depending on weather conditions, trips can be booked to Ohinau, Devils Point or the Marine Reserve or other sites within Mercury Bay. Priced from $100.00pp
1.00 PM Treasure Hunt:
At Buffalo Beach. Hunt for the sunken treasure from the Buffalo. Great fun for all. Spot prizes will be awarded on the day. Major prizes to be awarded at Sunday morning prizegiving.
Kids will dig in the sand on the beach – little plastic spades are allowed.
For kids 12 years and under $2.00
Adults will participate on snorkel – and a tip …. bring some gloves!!
Adults $60 (but $10 if entering all other events)
2.00PM Team Scuba Olympics
A team event competing for the trophy and AWESOME PRIZES. Four people in a team where you will complete a mystery challenge. Can have 2 divers and 2 non-divers in a team (we can buddy you up if you don't have a full team). $10.00 pp
Saturday, April 18th – Evening
5.30PM Vikings Party- Fancy Dress Dinner
A much needed dinner at one of Whitianga’s waterfront restaurants – Stoked. A beautiful beachfront setting across from the beach and great food. Come and let us entertain you at this great location, enjoy a buffet dinner and live music. Time to use your imagination and dress up using this marine based theme. Awesome prizes for best dressed. Dinner $67.00
Sunday, April 19th
9.30AM BBQ Breakfast Prize Giving
We will head back to Stoked where Andy and his crew will cook us our BBQ buffet breakfast and we have some wicked major prizes to be given away Including the grand prize of a dive trip for two to come stay and dive Bega Lagoon Resort, Fiji (the home of the famous shark dives) to be drawn. Don’t miss this final get together. $25.00
For those keen to get in another dive we will be booking boats from 11.00am.
