Here are some questions to ask to determine if your gear needs a service:
Your gear is your lifeline underwater; do you trust it to keep you safe and alive?
How long has it been since your gear has been serviced? Might be worth having it looked at!
Does your BCD inflate properly, are there any holes?
Is your inflator button sticking?
Are your dump valves all working correctly?
Has your dust cap been in place?
Does your regulator free-flow often?
Is your purge button sticking?
Are your computer batteries flat?
Is your mouthpiece in tact? Are there any tears?
Are your tanks in test? Tanks need a test every year- Hydrostatic tests every 2 years, with a visual test every year- check your tags/stamps.
Is your tank valve hard to open/close? It may need a service.
