Spear caught beer battered butter fish bites for the win!
Our Dive Zone team has held a stall at what was originally called the "Whitianga Scallop Festival" for many years now. This year it was renamed the Oceans Festival due to the Rahui in place in order to protect the scallop numbers for future generations. The day was filled with celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, live music from New Zealand bands, award winning beverages and a tasty assortment of food on offer, a real celebration of seafood and cuisine.
Adding in themed comedians, actors, and the beautiful oceanside views of Whitianga, it was a recipe for a great day out!

Our focus was to produce the finest quality sustainably caught beer battered butterfish. We used Fog Dog beer batter, New Zealand award winning Kentucky style coasting mix. https://www.fogdog.co.nz/

We also had a wicked deal going for festival goers which was a buy 1 get 1 free on PADI recreational diving courses as well as a selection of Beuchat apparel which was a huge hit!
Our team had a great time at the festival and were overwhelmed with the positive feedback from the customers about our delicious beer battered butterfish bites!
