Why a Liveaboard?

Raja Ampat is made up of four major islands and more than 1500 small islands situated off the coast of West Papua, Indonesia. While there are scuba diving resorts scattered around the major islands, you’ll be able to dive more of the area’s 200 dive sites from a liveaboard. Raja Ampat - West Papua

Raja Ampat, a remote Indonesian archipelago located in the heart of the Coral Triangle, is widely regarded as one of the most biologically diverse marine ecosystems on Earth. For divers and nature enthusiasts alike, exploring this untouched paradise by liveaboard is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The region is home to some of the world's most celebrated dive sites - such as Cape Kri and Citrus Ridge - where an astonishing 75% of the planet's coral species thrive. These reefs form the vibrant foundation for countless species of tropical fish, manta rays, reef sharks, turtles, and more.

What sets Raja Ampat apart is not just the sheer volume of marine life, but the incredible variety of dive environments it offers. From dazzling soft coral gardens and forest of sea fans to expansive hard coral fields, mangrove-fringed shallows, caves, drop-offs, black and white sand slopes, and lush seagrass beds, every dive brings a new underwater adventure. The diversity of habitats ensures an ever-changing landscape teeming with life and colour.

This 7 night liveaboard itinerary focuses on the spectacular sites of North Raja Ampat and the Dampier Strait, a region known for its strong currents, nutrient-rich waters, and high biodiversity. Divers can expect thrilling drift dives, calm reef explorations, and countless opportunities to witness rare and beautiful marine species up close.
